Accounts Receivable Specialist for Facility Billing

Full Time Position Description

Summary: Assumes responsibility for managing the aged receivables, understands the collection guidelines for facility billing on a UB-92. Reviews records to ensure claim is paid according to insurance guidelines. Primary Functions: • Account resolution via communications with employers, insurance companies, Attorney’s office and other insurance companies as indicated. • Processing rebills and other denial correspondence. • Correcting insurance information and redirecting the bills to the appropriate payer • Managing all aging reports and reporting back to the supervisor any issues that have been found. • Documenting notes in the billing system and marking the account for follow up • Correspondence with the client for any medical records and/or necessity letters that are needed to pay the claim • Answer any incoming customer service calls. Position Requirements: • Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of UB-92 billing classification system. • Ability to utilize appropriate reference materials. • Have a working knowledge of the different insurance companies posting guidelines. • Computer experience required. • Must exhibit strong communication skills and an ability to organize workload, and work independently and efficiently. • Work with small department to promote strong team ethic and complete all aspects of record keeping with focus on accuracy, timeliness and customer service. • Have the ability to work on your own and to be able to make critical decisions. Qualifications: • Associates degree in Health Information Technology, High school diploma or GED required. • Knowledge of UB-92 billing / coding / AR follow up services required. • 2 years of Facility based posting required with a strong background in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease process. Charge Posting Specialist for Facility Billing

Summary: Assumes responsibility for posting payments for facility billing on a UB-92. Reviews records to ensures all remark codes have the correct action to adjust and/or deny the claim for further follow up. Position Requirements: Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of UB-92 billing classification system. Ability to utilize appropriate reference materials. Have a working knowledge of the different insurance companies posting guidelines. Computer experience required. Must exhibit strong communication skills and an ability to organize workload, and work independently and efficiently. Work with small department to promote strong team ethic and complete all aspects of record keeping with focus on accuracy, timeliness and customer service. Have the ability to work on your own and to be able to make critical decisions. Qualifications: Associates degree in Health Information Technology, High school diploma or GED required. Summary: Assumes responsibility for coding and charge entry for facility billing on a UB-92. Reviews records to ensure optimum reimbursement based on medical record documentation. Position Requirements: Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of UB-92 billing classification system. Ability to utilize appropriate reference materials. Coding Credentials Preferred. Have a working knowledge of the different insurance companies billing and coding guidelines. Computer experience required. Must exhibit strong communication skills and an ability to organize workload, and work independently and efficiently. Work with small department to promote strong team ethic and complete all aspects of record keeping with focus on accuracy, timeliness and customer service. Have the ability to work on your own and to be able to make critical decisions. Qualifications: Associates degree in Health Information Technology, RHIT or CPC-H preferred or High school diploma or GED with RHIT CPC-H required. Knowledge of UB-92 coding services required. 2 years of Facility based coding required with a strong background in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease process.
